Snow Days
This has been a record breaking winter! We have had a lot of snow days when Solanco has delayed the start of school. We want to provide the best possible preschool experience for your children and we want to make sure that you get the services you have paid for. Therefore, we are changing our snow policy for the remainder of the year, beginning immediately. This will be a trial and I would appreciate your feedback and comments. If Solanco has a delay (one or two hours), we will start preschool at 11am. Please pack your child a small lunch that will take the place of snack. Pickup will be at 1pm. If you are uncomfortable driving due to the weather conditions, please do not put yourself and your children at risk.
Books Are Fun
There is a selection of books from “Books Are Fun” on a table outside my office. This display will be set up until March 2 only. You may take a look at the books and purchase books. (Information about purchasing is on the table.) Books will be delivered next week.
Preschool Registration
I am now accepting registrations from new students. If you have not yet turned in your registration for next year, please do so ASAP. Some classes are already filled.
Kindergarten
We will be hosting a seminar for parents who have children who will be entering kindergarten at Solanco in the fall. Parents from all area preschools are invited. There will be two seminars and childcare will be provided. The dates and times are: April 14 from 9:30 – 11:00 & April 15 in the evening. There will be several speakers including the transportation director from Solanco and a kindergarten teacher. Information will be provided about the Kindergarten Registration process. This is your chance to get all your questions answered. I will pass on information about Kindergarten Registration when I received it.
Donations
We could use your help collecting items for some upcoming craft projects. We need 1 pound coffee cans, cardboard egg cartons, and square tissue boxes. We take your trash and make something beautiful!
